In the above speech, I was running for the Vice President of Membership in my organization. This shows my ability to think outside the box to find fixes to the problems that my organization faced at the time. It also illustrated my ability to speak in front of large groups of people.
In this letter, I show my passion for the organizations that I am a part of along with once again my strengths in thinking outside of the box to make the groups I am a part of better.
In this paper, I show off the knowledge I have gained through my time as a Communication Major. I show that I can take real-world experiences and apply them to what I am learning.
This is a rulebook for the flag football tournament that I have run for the last two years for the Herd of Thunder Marching Band. It is not a rulebook that I wrote the original version of, however, I have spent countless hours editing it to make sure that none of the rules contradict themselves as in the past and also making sure that the rules provide for the most pleasant and safe experience for all involved.
In this essay, I review a social experiment that I did while I was in Interpersonal Communication. I was tasked with going out of my way to be extra nice to three complete strangers. When I did this I was struck by how positive of an effect I could have on someone by just going a little out of my comfort zone. Since that time I have made a conscious effort to continue doing this from time to time.
In this memoir, I reflect on how I have grown in my life to this point. I look at how I found my religion and spirituality and how I have been shaped by the world around and by myself.
This piece of work is probably one of my favorites. It is a love note of sorts to the Herd of Thunder Marching Band. I wrote it on the year anniversary of my mothers passing and it was meant to be a thank you to everyone in the organization who helped me through my rough times.
I wrote this as a script to be performed as a monologue talking about my relationship with one of my best friends and how much I treasure every moment with her. This highlights my creativity especially as I weave poetry into the performance to add effect.
This essay was another social experiment done for Interpersonal Communication. In it, I investigated how two strangers were interacting and had to hypothesize what was going on based body language and the different listening styles that the subjects were taking on.
This is a second script I wrote for a performance class as a monologue. It was generated around the quote at the end as we were tasked with writing a script based around a random quote we heard a stranger said.
This is a spreadsheet that I used to keep track of all the service done in my organization during my tenure as the Vice President of Service. It has been downgraded to an older version for ease of use so that I could redact the names of brothers for privacy reasons.
Finally, This is the Cutting Edge Capstone Project that I helped to make during my time in my Senior Capstone class at USF. The focus of which was organizational communication.
